Digital Learning Collaborative shares new Keeping Pace report - Snapshot 2019 - and Planning for Quality Guide
by John Watson
We are excited to share that, as mentioned at the inaugural Digital Learning Annual Conference last week, we have published two new reports - the first of which is the new Keeping Pace report called Snapshot 2019. Snapshot 2019 presents research on policy and practice in K-12 digital learning.
Snapshot 2019 is the latest in the Keeping Pace series, which is now guided by the DLC. The study explores use cases of online, blended, and digital learning in mainstream school districts; current enrollment counts in fully online schools; and profiles of hybrid schools, which the report identifies as some of the most innovative and promising examples of digital instruction overcoming learning barriers of time and place.
Snapshot 2019 continues the work of the Keeping Pace annual reports, which were last published in 2016. It serves as a reference source for both policymakers and practitioners who are new to digital education, and for those who have served and are interested in the field.
Planning for Quality: A Guide for Continuous Improvement of Digital Learning Programs builds on two areas of work. One is Evergreen’s Planning for Quality guides published in previous Keeping Pace reports. The second is Evergreen’s year-long partnership with the Wisconsin eSchool Network (WEN) and Wisconsin Digital Learning Collaborative (WDLC). WEN and the WDLC, together with Evergreen, convened a working group of WDLC member districts that explored issues related to quality in online, blended, and digital learning, resulting in the Continuous Improvement guide.
These reports are created by the Digital Learning Collaborative (DLC), a membership organization facilitated by the Evergreen Education Group and consisting of school districts, companies, state agencies, and non-profit organizations.
